Dear Donor,

For almost 80 years, Goodwill Industries has been helping people with barriers to employment, including various disabilities, to gain skills, independence, and secure employment in Northwest Ohio.

As winter awaits and the end of the year approaches, we come to you, our valued stakeholders and friends of Goodwill, with our annual appeal. With this yearly ingathering, we designate these funds directly to our mission services and helping over a thousand of our neighbors each year.

One person we assisted this year is Jeanine Dailey. Coming back from a long battle after serious illness and resultant disability, Ms. Dailey recently became a featured downtown Toledo artist, starting a custom mural business. Her story can currently be seen on the home page of our website, a journey from being multiply disabled to now displaying her multi-talented potential.

Goodwill does not serve one distinct population that has a need, but has always served a variety of persons from different walks of life, backgrounds, and with different stories and obstacles to overcome. But one thing in common is that everyone in our Workforce Development programs has significant barriers to employment.

To give you an idea of some of the populations we are working with, these diverse groups include: several different autistic organizations, the Board of Developmental Disabilities, various mental health agencies, disabled veterans and some of the homeless populations in our community.

We ask for your help in our Annual Appeal toward our mission and services we provide to the community. You can donate securely online with Paypal or by emailing Sheila Miano to request a mailer.

This holiday season, make the most of your generosity and help us assist people to move into a brighter, more hopeful and independent future amidst this difficult economy.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays,

Robert G. Huber

President, Goodwill Industries of NW Ohio

December marks the start of our Goodwill Annual Appeal. This yearly ingathering helps support our Mission Services, which is the core of not only our Goodwill serving Northwest Ohio, but also of the other 180 Goodwill's around the country.
