wpebf99e73.jpg Auto Auction Helps Provide Funding for Goodwill's Services

Goodwill’s Auto Auction is located at 3863 LaGrange St., Toledo, Ohio. It is the place where all donated vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RV's, campers and trailers) are sold at public auction.

Proceeds from the auctions help fund Goodwill's mission of providing education, training and career services for people with disabilities and other work-related barriers to employment.

Here's How It Works

Donating A Vehicle
Anyone can make a vehicle donation to be sold at Goodwill’s auction. All cars, trucks motorcycles, boats, RV’s, campers and trailers are sold. The price the vehicle sells for at auction is tax deductible for the donor.

Donating a vehicle is quick and easy. Goodwill can provide free towing, or you can drop it off, along with the title, at Goodwill's main office, 626 N. Huron, Toledo. Contact Sandy Harcourt or Casey Holmes at (419) 255-0070 for more information.

Auctions
Auctions are held several times during the year on Saturday mornings. Check Goodwill's website for auction dates and times.

All vehicles are sold "as is."
Goodwill does not know the details concerning the mechanical conditions of the vehicles. They are sold in "as is" condition without any type of warranty and there are no refunds for purchased vehicles.

Bidding on a vehicle
Anyone can bid on a vehicle but must first register in the auction office prior to the start of the auction. A $100 cash deposit is required when registering as well as a valid driver’s license.

Placing a winning bid
Winning bidders will pay the cost of the vehicle (minus the bidding deposit), as well as a $10 processing fee, $15 title fee, $30 buyers fee, tax for the purchase (based on your county of residence). If you choose, you can also purchase a temporary tag for $18.50.

Means of Payment
Goodwill accepts cash and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) payment for vehicle purchases. All vehicles must be paid for within one hour of the conclusion of the auction. Anyone winning a bid on a vehicle but failing to pay at the auctions conclusion forfeits their deposit.

Removal of Vehicles after Auction
Upon providing proof of payment at the completion of the auction, the purchaser will receive vehicle
key(s). The auction lot will remain open until
2:00 p.m. For removal of purchased vehicle. If a
vehicle is not removed by the Tuesday following
the auction, the purchaser will be subject to a $25
a day storage fee.
