Just the Facts
Since 1933, Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio has provided employment and job training for thousands of men and women who have had disabilities and/ or work related disadvantages.

Three Main Operating Divisions
Goodwill has three distinct operating divisions - Workforce Development, Retail Sales, and Contract Services - serving the community through quality people, services and merchandise.

Workforce Development
At the heart of our mission are work oriented training programs. Dating back to the 1950's, our programs are accredited and professionally designed to help people overcome personal barriers to employment. Barriers to employment have traditionally meant physical, mental, emotional, social, behavioral, and learning disabilities, but now include: extended time away from the workforce, homelessness, criminal history, illiteracy and welfare dependency.

Store
Retail Sales
The collection, processing and resale of good quality donations of clothing, furniture, computers, and household items provide not only employment for many dedicated men and women but supports the mission through the revenue generated by the retail sales. Eighty-four cents of every revenue dollar generated is channeled into the Workforce Development programs.

CContractontract Services
Industrial Services: Since 1950 this division has been providing quality-subcontracting services at competitive prices. These professionally supervised, quality monitored services include but are not limited to: assembly, packaging, sequencing, sorting, fulfillment, inspection, and rework. Over 80,000 square feet in two locations provide employment and training for many hard working individuals as well as supporting the mission through the revenues generated by the individual contracts.

Janitorial Services
For nearly 17 years this division has provided janitorial services to both large and small businesses and also governmental projects. The work force is well trained and the bid prices are very competitive to the local market. This department provides jobs for many motivated individuals as well as supporting the mission through generated sales.
