the Grand Re-Opening of its largest volume store at 2021 S. Reynolds Rd.
An overall remodeling project has been underway for the past several weeks. Donations continue to be accepted Monday-Saturday 9-9 and Sunday 10-6. "Donations are key to our ability to continue to serve those who need our help the most in our community," said Bob Huber, President/CEO. "We thank all who continue to support Goodwill with their donations during this process."

The United States is experiencing a rise in the average age of its workforce. With this increase, there is a rise in skill level and a rise in age related injuries and illnesses. Older employees can be a tremendous asset to a company. But what happens if they become injured or develop MS. Too many employers do not know how to adapt a worksite or acquire assistive technology to help those workers remain on the job and continue to be an asset for the company.

Community benefits from First Aid Training
On December 1, Margaret Sosbe entered Goodwill history as the first person from the community to sign up for and attend our First Aid and CPR training. Since the mid 1990’s, we have provided this training to our staff from the Greater Toledo chapter of the American Red Cross.

Goodwill restores lives
Todd Easterwood was hired as the new Goodwill custodian on January 6 and started working the following Monday. Todd's story is unique and common in many ways. Todd was injured at work and was unable to return to full time work until Goodwill came into his life.
Todd came to us with a multi-talented work history. He had been a union rep for the local UAW and a construction supervisor. Todd's life changed on April 2008, when he sustained a repetitive motion injury while working the assembly line. He was placed on modified work assignment, but even that became too much. Eventually, he
was laid off work on December 25, 2008. Todd remembers feeling bad because he could not work, after working steadily for 26 years.
