Goodwill Launches Used Vehicle Auction

On Saturday, April 8, Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio will have the grand opening of its Auto Auction, 3863 Lagrange St., Toledo, Ohio.  Featured will be a wide variety of cars, trucks, boats and vans that have been donated to Goodwill from individuals throughout Northwest Ohio.

Doors for the auction open at 10:00 a.m. for preview, bidding starts at 11:00 a.m.  All individuals wishing to bid on a vehicle are required to bring a $100 bidding fee which will be applied to the purchase of a vehicle or refunded if the bidder does not win an item up for bid.

The Goodwill Auto Auction will hold monthly auctions beginning with this Saturday’s event  

Revenues from the Auto Auction will fund Goodwill’s education, training, and job placement programs for people with disabilities and disadvantages such as welfare dependency, homelessness, and lack of education and work experience.

Since 1933, Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio has provided employment and job training to individuals with disabilities and/or work-related disadvantages. As unemployment increases, so does the need for Goodwill’s services. Strong families and communities are a result of individuals who have gained economic independence and become a contributing member of the community.
