Goodwill Opens New Toledo/Sylvania Donation Center

On Tuesday, October 13 Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio opened its newest donation center at 3015 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd., Toledo marking the non-profit’s fifth stand-alone donation center and 20^th location in Northwest Ohio.

Donation center hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Goodwill can use any sellable items that do not need repair. We also accept all brands of computers, furniture, small appliances and other house wares.

Donation centers help Goodwill maintain their 12 stores throughout Northwest Ohio.  Stores are located in Bowling Green, Bryan, Defiance, Findlay, Napoleon, Northwood, Ottawa, Tiffin and Toledo, and have offered great variety at great value to their communities for years. The stores, along with an online auction site, www.shopgoodwill.com, are the primary source of funding that enables Goodwill to carry out its mission – helping individuals overcome personal barriers to employment.

Since 1933, Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio has provided employment and job training to individuals with disabilities and/or work-related disadvantages. As unemployment increases, so does the need for Goodwill’s services. Strong families and communities are a result of individuals who have gained economic independence and become a contributing member of the community.
