Mission Moment: Patrick Hughes

Heather Nash and Bernie Filipski attended the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities Provider Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, June 14, 2019.

 

The guest speaker was Patrick Henry Hughes who overcame being born without eyes and the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs to excel as a musician, student, performer, and public speaker. He is also the author of “I AM POTENTIAL” which has has been turned into a feature-length film by the same name.

The 21st Annual Goodwill Summer Classic Golf Tournament makes par!

Despite the early

Spring like chilly weather, the 2019 Goodwill Summer Classic Golf Tournament held on June 10th was a tremendous success!  24 teams competed in the event at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, OH.  Everyone involved enjoys the opportunity to be part of the biggest fundraiser to support and celebrate Goodwill’s dedication to the mission of improving the lives of people in our community.

Spangler Golf Team

The Spangler Candy Company Team finished on top.  Lunch, dinner, door prizes, photos and awards rounded out a great day for all participants.
