Your Donations Make a Difference
Do Good Bin

Host a Do Good Bin

As a property owner, you have the opportunity to support the mission of Goodwill Industries of NW Ohio by placing a Do Good bin on your property. By supporting Goodwill through the placement of Do Good bins on your property, you can help the organization provide job training and placement services to individuals in NW Ohio and promote sustainability by reselling donated goods.

Hosting a Goodwill donation bin on your property is an easy way to support your community while generating ongoing revenue for your organization. Schools, religious institutions, convenience stores, gas stations, and property owners can all benefit from this simple partnership.

By offering a convenient drop‑off location for clothing, shoes, and textiles, you help your patrons give new life to items they no longer need. Every donation supports Goodwill’s premier Workforce Development programs to provide people with disabilities job training, employment services, and other vital community programs.

Together, we can and create local opportunities that change lives and promote sustainability—one donation at a time.

Host A Donation Drive

Goodwill donation drives are excellent community service projects for businesses, schools, community organizations, city municipalities, civic associations, faith-based congregations, colleges and universities, and booster clubs.

Donation drives are an easy way to give back to the community while clearing out the clutter and keeping items out of landfills. When you donate clothing and other items like books or shoes to Goodwill, your donations are sold in Goodwill stores, giving them a second life and keeping them out of landfills.  The funds generated from the sale of your donated items helps Goodwill in its mission building dignity and quality of life for individuals and families throughout Northwest Ohio through the Power of Work by eliminating barriers and providing opportunities.

When you donate your new and gently used items, Goodwill sells them in stores and online generating revenue to provide valuable employment training and job placement services for people in your community.

A Great Way to Give Back

Whether you’re representing a business, school, club, university, faith-based congregation, or neighborhood association, your organization can host a Goodwill donation drive.

Many organizations organize donation drives to collect specific items, such as clothing or shoes. Companies may sponsor donation drives, which is a great way to energize and unite employees around giving back to a worthy cause.  Goodwill works with many local elementary and high schools that host donation drives. They can donate clothing, shoes, accessories, and even textbooks. Also, campus organizations such as sororities, fraternities, or student government associations can sponsor donation drives. City municipalities and county governments often sponsor community recycling events, and Goodwill works closely with them to ensure these events run smoothly.

Some groups use community garage sales to raise funds for themselves, then partner with Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio, Inc., to come in at the end to collect the items that didn’t sell. We’re happy to do so! Click here for a list of items that Goodwill accepts. To determine the value of your items, view Goodwill’s Donation Impact calculator.

Goodwill’s Donation Acquisition Manager will work with you to organize your event and arrange a pickup for the donations. Our goal is to ensure a successful partnership and help your organization achieve success. A donation drive is an excellent way to foster unity and camaraderie within your organization and community. Please allow a 3-week window to schedule a drive so we can ensure our team is ready to assist you.
