Do Good With Goodwill
Not charity, but a chance.
At Goodwill, we are committed to strengthening dignity and enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families across Northwest Ohio through the Power of Work. By breaking down barriers and creating meaningful opportunities, we help people build pathways to brighter, more independent futures.
Every item you donate fuels real change in our community. The revenue generated from the sale of donated goods directly supports the Mission Services that empower individuals right here in Northwest Ohio.
When you give to Goodwill, you’re doing more than clearing out your closet—you’re investing in the success, stability, and growth of your neighbors.

MISSION MOMENT
Carl’s Journey to Purpose
Carl came to Goodwill’s OOD Bridge Support Training Program seeking guidance to achieve his career goals. With our team’s help, he enrolled in required classes, explored certification pathways, and prepared for the next steps in his professional journey. Today, Carl is thriving as a Peer Support Specialist at Blanchard Valley Health System, where he empowers individuals in recovery by helping them identify strengths, build personalized plans, and connect with vital resources.
Carl calls this work his true calling and is deeply grateful for the support he received through Goodwill. His journey doesn’t stop here—he has an upcoming interview with Focus’s Peer Advisory Board and plans to enroll at Owens Community College to pursue credentials as a Chemical Dependency Counseling Aide. Carl’s story is a powerful reminder of what determination and community support can achieve.
